TWELVE YEARS’ TIME - STREAMING NOW!

Simon Hitchenson Full Res (print).jpg

Conceived during a 12 year stint living in London, written over 16 years and recorded over the course of 4, Twelve Years’ Time is singer, songwriter and producer Simon Hitchenson’s reflection on the changing state of his relationships with people and places as well as allusions to unstable mental health and the tempering of expectations of life in the capital.

The electronic and avant-garde sound of the album is merged with classic, hook-based songwriting and the results range from an almost atmospheric chillwave aesthetic to powerful and frantic trance beats via some fraught guitar work.

All instruments including drums, guitars, keyboards and vocals were performed by Simon himself at his studio in Shadwell, East London, with the only exception being the strings on Tomorrow and Day of May which were provided by violinist Katie Lander. The album was mastered at the late Kirsty MacColl’s studio in Ealing, West London by James Knight.

Twelve Years’ Time is available to download and stream now on all good digital platforms.
